The KromaKing system for metal decorated sheet inspection uses two cameras on a traversing slide: one inspects the registration mark and the other inspects for color shifts and spatial defects. The system is typically installed after the oven or UV curing station, and the cameras are positioned above the production line.

An LCD touch screen user interface allows the operator to program the cameras to move to selected color regions and registration marks on the metal decorated sheet to inspect for specific defects (see list below). Accurate color measurements are provided in Delta E, Delta Lab, Delta RGB and Delta CMY values, One blank is also inspected per sheet, and a scanning sequence ensures every blank location is periodically inspected.
