RT6 light tester features
1. Machine speeds up to 1800 cans per minute
2. Gravity infeed and discharge
3. Cam is a box style cam
4. Spindles have 2 cam rolls for positive forward and retract stroke
5. Starwheels and base pads are clear and polished plexiglass
6. Light source covers the outside
7. Additional lower lamp
8. All metal surfaces surrounding the can are highly polished finish

RT6 light tester process RT6
1. Gravity infeed trackwork places the can into plexiglass starwheel on the rotating turret
2. Guides hold the can into the starwheel
3. The spindle moves forward, vacuum captures and holds the can bottom
4. Can flange is pressed against the can seal
5. Light surrounds the can side wall, reflected light covers the can bottom
6. The can passes the detection system main seal
7. If there is no light leakage the can is accepted and discharged
8. If there is light detected the processor sends signal the reject valve to reject the can

Randolph LT 12-LT 16 light tester

Randolph light tester features
1. LT 12 rated speed 1950 C.P.M.
2. LT 16 rated speed 2400 C.P.M.

4. LT 16- 200 to 211 can diameter
5. 107-700 can height capable

8. Infeed starwheel, solid or split

LT 12-16 testing process
1. Cans are feed into the infeed starwheel from a gravity track
2. The infeed starwheel feeds the cans to the carrier wheel where the clamp pad pushes the can into the seal
3. The can passes light from 2 halogen quartz light sources
4. If there is light detected, a LED light on the array head lights
5. The LED light on the array head is detected by a stationary sensor signaling the reject system
6. The can is released into the discharge starwheel
7. If the can is good it is released from the discharge starwheel into a good can discharge trackwork
8. If the can is defective, a solenoid trips a cam follower and pivots a reject finger into the can holding it into the pocket of the discharge starwheel
9. The can is held in the discharge starwheel until it passes the good can discharge trackwork and is released into reject track
LT 12-16 SEA air reject system
1. SEA air reject system eliminates fingers
2. Uses a magnetic discharge conveyor
3. Air nozzle blows bad cans off the conveyor
6. Sensors track the can to identify the correct bad can to reject
