Stolle Inside Spray Systems

  Stolle inside spray systems apply a coating to the inside surface of two-piece cans at high speed and with maximum production efficiency. Featuring Reynolds technology, Stolle dual gun spray machines are available as either single machine additions to an existing line, or as an integrated modular design with three to ten machines mounted on a common platform. Stolle inside spray machines are capable of handling aluminum or steel cans in a variety of sizes at speeds up to 350 cans per minute. Vacuum chucks are used to rotate the can during spraying which reduces can damage. Swing-away gun mounts allow easy access to the spray nozzles for set-up and cleaning, and a locking mechanism ensures the gun mounts return to their precise set-up position. Can size changes are easily accomplished with a minimal number of change parts and require only minor adjustments. Stolle modular spray systems include the control panel, spray delivery and exhaust systems. The modular machine layout can be designed to meet customer requirements, and can include space for future machines in the design.

 DG-250 Inside Spray Machines

Uses the highly effective wet-on-wet process
1、Can feeds into machine and is captured on vacuum spinner pad.
2、Can indexes to first position and inside spray is applied.
3、Can indexes to next position and second spray is applied.
4、Can is discharged into users trackwork and conveyed to IBO.

Air/Vacuum Assembly

1、Compressed air is used to operate the can stop cylinder.
2、Vacuum provides positive retention of the can on the spinner pad. Vacuum is filtered. In the event of machine shut-down the “vacuum saver” solenoid, closes saving vacuum.

Infeed Assembly

1、Can is fed through the trackwork, activating infeed sensor.
2、Can stop releases, dropping can into position.
3、Can is captured and centered in vacuum spinner pad.

Turret Assembly

1、Can is indexed into first work position, activating can-in-pocket sensor.
2、Spray timing sensor at the indexing gearbox indicates machine dwell.
3、With both sensors satisfied, can is sprayed.
4、Can is indexed to next work position and sprayed again.

Discharge Assembly

1、After can is sprayed, it is indexed to the discharge position and vacuum is released.
2、Can falls through discharge fitting and into user’s discharge trackwork.
3、In the event of a jam in the discharge fitting, a limit switch de-powers the machine and delivers a fault message to the panel.

TG-350 Turret Assembly

1、If the machine is a TG and the inside spray is 2、complete, the can is passed to the lower turret for outside spray.
3、Spin is provided by the “o” ring drive. The dome is sprayed.4、Can is passed to the discharge position.

TG-350 Discharge Assembly

1、After can is sprayed, it is indexed to the discharge position and released from the “o” ring drive.
2、Can falls through the discharge fitting and into the user’s discharge trackwork

DG-250 Lacquer Processing Module

Lacquer flows from manifold to heater.
From the heater, it proceeds to the filter. (Dual filters are an option.)
The lacquer proceeds, through a pressure gauge and isolation valves, to the spray guns.
The excess lacquer is returned to the manifold by way of check and isolation valves.
Lockable valve handles are color coded for safety.

TG-350 Lacquer Processing Module

Lacquer flows from manifold to heater
From the heater, it proceeds to the dual filters.
The lacquer proceeds, through a pressure gauge and locking valves, to the spray gun.
The excess lacquer is returned to the manifold by way of check and locking valves.

Swing Away Spray Guns


 
Spray guns swing out for easy access to the starwheels and work area.
A simple lever action locks and unlocks the gun mount.

Drive Assembly

The DG-250 is driven by a double-reduction belt. DG-250
Can speed is altered by changing the drive pulley, available as a change part
Spray timing is controlled by the timing sensor. The sensor reads metal strips, precisely located on the timing wheel to coincide with dwell time of the Camco indexer.

TG-350 Drive Assembly

The TG-350 is driven by a single-reduction belt. Can speed is altered by changing the drive pulley, available as a change partDG

Removable Guards

Slip-joint continuous hinges and detente pin retention make guard removal quick and easy, facilitating cleaning and maintenance.

Lacquer flows through 1/2” manifold lines to Spray Lacquer returns to day tank through pressure control valve on EP pump stands

Exhaust System
